Opened in June, 2007 in the historic Silverlake district of Los Angeles, Laguna Senior was developed in collaboration with Project New Hope to serve seniors with HIV/AIDs.
The award-winning, 64 unit project employs green building technologies in a design that fits seamlessly into its Sunset Blvd location.
Founded in 1965 by legendary community organizer, Ted Watkins, non-profit WLCAC is now a fully integrated social service provider with shelter, housing, childcare, education and transportation services.
AHCDC is presently working in partnership with WLCAC to redevelop an existing property into 64-unit, McCoy Plaza.
Once completed in 2010, McCoy Plaza will provide much needed housing and on-site support services for single mothers re-entering the community after being incarcerated.
